Jade Palace Golf Club, 1,5 hours outside Seoul, Korea – one of the hidden gems that you may never find, but should never give up searching for. Absolutely stunning golf course held in super condition by mr Choi – legendary Korean GCS and owned by the Korean Hanwha Group.
Very dramatic Greg Norman design with deep bunker edges and steep faces. With the monsun rains in this region and severe conditions, mr Choi and his team are building up the vertical edges with CapillaryFlow (only material that is strong enough to do this) and installing drip lines to always keep the sand on these faces.
This is definitely a world top 100 course in my mind, and well worth the seven figure dollar membership if you have it. As a total golf nut, I am very grateful to GM mr Lee and his team for allowing us to work here. This is heaven on earth for any golfer, you have to pinch yourself on every hole to remind yourself you are not dreaming…!
